Who these terms are for
These terms apply to bookings made through the Splat Messy Play Sittingbourne, Faversham & Canterbury website.
Splat Messy Play Sittingbourne, Faversham & Canterbury is operated by a local Splat Messy Play franchisee. These terms explain how this local booking website works.
These terms sit alongside the wider Splat Messy Play terms and conditions. You can read those on the main Splat Messy Play website.
Using this website
You may use this website to browse classes, create an account, add child details, book classes, buy class passes, join waitlists, manage bookings and contact Amy.
Please make sure the information you provide is accurate and up to date, especially contact details, child details, allergy notes, medical notes and photo consent preferences.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Please do not share your login details with anyone else.
Bookings
Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once payment has been completed, a valid class pass credit has been used, or the booking has been manually confirmed by Amy.
You are responsible for checking the class date, time, venue, child details and price before completing your booking.
We may need to refuse or cancel a booking if there has been an obvious error, a payment issue, overbooking, misuse of the booking system, or where attendance would not be safe or appropriate.
Payments
Prices are shown on the website at the time of booking. Payments may be taken online through our payment provider. We do not store your full card details on this website.
A booking or class pass purchase is not guaranteed until the payment or credit redemption process has been completed.
We may keep payment status and payment reference information so that we can manage bookings, class passes, refunds where applicable, customer support and business records.
Class passes and credits
Class passes allow you to buy a set number of class credits in advance. Each eligible class booked with a pass uses one credit.
Class pass credits can only be used for eligible classes while the pass is valid. Some special events, parties or limited-capacity sessions may not accept class pass credits.
Class pass credits may have an expiry date. The expiry date will be shown when the pass is purchased or in your account area. Credits have no cash value and cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
Cancellations and refunds
Our cancellation policy explains when you can cancel, when class pass credits are returned, and what happens if you paid by card.
If you booked using a class pass credit and cancel at least 24 hours before the class starts, the credit is normally returned to your account.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the class starting, the credit is normally used and will not be returned. This is because your space has been held and it may be too late for another family to book.
Card bookings are not usually refundable when you cancel, but Amy may offer a transfer or class credit at her discretion where it is practical and fair.
If we cancel a class
If Splat Messy Play needs to cancel a class because of illness, venue issues, low attendance, safety concerns, severe weather or circumstances outside our control, we will offer a suitable option.
This may include a transfer to another suitable class, a class credit, or a refund to the original payment method where appropriate.
We are not responsible for additional costs you may incur, such as travel, parking or childcare arrangements.
Waitlists
If a class is full, you may be able to join a waitlist. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee a place.
If a space becomes available, Amy may notify some or all waitlisted customers. Places may be offered on a first-come, first-served basis once booking is reopened.
Special events and promo codes
Special events may have different prices, age ranges, capacities, cancellation rules or restrictions. Class passes and promo codes may not be accepted for some special events.
Promo codes must be used before checkout and cannot normally be applied retrospectively. Promo codes may be limited by date, venue, class type, customer, number of uses or other conditions.
We may withdraw or amend promo codes at any time.
Parent and carer responsibility
Children remain the responsibility of their parent, carer or responsible adult at all times during a session. Splat Messy Play staff do not provide childcare and cannot take responsibility for supervising individual children.
Please stay with your child, supervise them appropriately, and make sure they use the materials, equipment and space safely.
We may ask a child or adult to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, aggressive, abusive, or likely to affect the enjoyment or safety of others.
Allergies, illness and safety
Messy play sessions may use a variety of materials, including food-based, sensory, wet, dry, sticky, scented or textured materials.
Please tell us before attending if your child has any allergy, intolerance, medical need, additional need or other relevant safety requirement.
We will do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee that sessions will be free from allergens or traces of allergens.
Please do not attend if you or your child are unwell, infectious, have a fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, or any illness that could reasonably affect other families.
Materials used in class are for play and exploration. They are not provided as food and should not be eaten unless Amy clearly says otherwise.
Messy play and clothing
Messy play is intended to be messy.
Please dress children and adults in clothes that can get stained, wet or dirty.
We are not responsible for damage, staining or marks to clothing, footwear, bags, toys, pushchairs or other personal belongings.
Photos
You may take photos of your own child during a session, provided this does not disrupt the class or affect anyone else's privacy.
Please do not take or share photos or videos that clearly show other children or families without permission.
If we take photos for promotional purposes, we will ask for permission where required.
Personal information
We use personal information to manage accounts, bookings, payments, classes, class passes, waitlists, safety information and customer communication. More detail is provided in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example if the website changes, our booking process changes, or we need to clarify how classes, passes, cancellations or payments work.
The latest version will be published on this page. For bookings already made, the terms in place at the time of booking will usually apply unless a change is required for legal, safety or operational reasons.
